Laura Mercier Silk Creme Oil Free Foundation For Oily Skin Review

Friday, April 29, 2016

I think I am in love! Not that I need anymore foundations as I think 30+ is enough but how could I resist the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Oil Free Foundation?! I have wanted this foundation for the longest time and I finally picked it up. The packaging I love, I am really loving foundations in squeezy tubes at the moment as I find I can use every last drop whereas a pump doesn't let you do that. I went for the shade Rose Ivory which is the perfect match to my MAC NW20 skin.

The Laura Mercier Silk Creme Oil Free Foundation is one of the two newer additions as Laura Mercier used to only have one Silk Creme Foundation but now they have the oil free and the moisturising one. As I have oily skin most of the time (it can sometimes be combination) I usually go for oil free foundations. When I did my research, I read many reviews of this product and found it to be hit and miss with oily skin. Personally I find as long as you use a good primer, powder and setting spray most foundations will work well if they are oil free.

Laura Mercier describe this foundation to wear for 12 hours with a full coverage matte finish. When I first squeezed a small amount out of the tube I expected it to be alot thicker in consistency but it was very light. Laura Mercier advise to apply this with a sponge but I find it applies best with either a buffer brush or a flat top kabuki brush. I personally love applying it with my Nanshy Face Brush. One layer all over the face creates a medium coverage I would say but it is easily buildable. Once I have built it up to the full coverage I desire surprisingly it didn't feel cakey and still looked very natural.

When I looked in the mirror I couldn't believe how flawless my skin looked! It is definitely my favourite base for how it looks. After reading mixed reviews I wasn't sure how well it would last throughout the day but it didn't pretty well! I found after 6 hours I had slight shine on the corners of my nose. I applied a small amount of powder just to those area's and 9 hours later my face still looked flawless!

Overall I am in love with this base and will definitely be buying it again. If you are looking for a high coverage, lightweight, flawless base this is for you!

Tips for Bloggers Working with PR Firms and Brands, Blog Tips For Making Money

When brands contact me to work with them i am always amazed and happy. When i started EmmysBeautyCave I did it as a hobby for me to fill up time whilst I have been off work long term due to my operations. I had been blogging 6 months when I got my first PR email and it was so exciting. I have now been blogging 21 months and have learnt alot from working with PR firms and Brands. As with anything there are definitely good and bad points to working with brands and PR firms. I am doing a two part post including the Good and the Bad Sides of working with PR.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Right?

We should all be proud of our blogs, when PR companies contact you it is kind of like a pat on the back as someone is appreciating the work you do. I have worked with small and large brands and I always treat them the same. It shouldn't matter how large or well known a brand is. PR work/Collaborations come in all kinds of forms from reviewing products to writing sponsored posts. Once a brand has contacted you make sure to keep a good conversation, keep up with timescales agreed as alot of the time the brand will come back again and work with you.

I can usually tell from a PR email whether I need to be chatty or more formal, keep it professional but on a friendly note. Ask them how they are or how the weekend went. Don't always keep it just about blogging. You can make some great contacts through blogging which can lead to other opportunities.

How They Can Benefit You

1. Promotion | Every time you talk to a brand/pr you are promoting your blog. Every bit of promotion is in your favour. Remember to be yourself and show your personality.
2. Media Kit | I only recently made my Media Kit but it is worth it. I usually pick the top 6-10 brands I have worked with and put them in my kit. It shows new pr/brands that you have worked with others and it has gone well.
3. Contacts | Keep note of all of the PR Firms and Brands you have worked with so you can always contact them in the future to see if they would like to work with you again.
4. Followers | This isn't the biggest thing for me as I blog as a hobby so don't have official targets etc but when working with brands make sure to tag them on Social Media as they may retweet or tweet about your post which will bring more readers/followers to your blog and social media.

Making Money

For me not one I focus on too much, like I said my blog is a hobby not a job for me. Sometimes brands may contact you asking you to review products or promote something and in return you get the product plus a percentage of any profits made using your discount code.
Sponsored posts are a popular one, if a brand asks you to promote something on your blog and you think but what's in it for me? Alot of bloggers will charge a fee in order to write a post on behalf of the brand. Some brands will have a post they want or will ask you to write one up on a certain topic. Each bloggers fee will vary. Some pick a fee by the amount of followers they have or the amount of readers they get per post etc...

Psst... If you do make money from your blog you do have to declare it for tax purposes. Even if you only earn a tiny amount.

"Freebies"

This is one i think is good and bad but i will include it in this post rather than the bad side. It is obvious some bloggers do it just for the freebies which is just so wrong in so many ways. When brands offer to send me products to review of course im happy i have got a free product who wouldn't be? But that doesn't mean i don't put in the hard work. I spend alot of time trying to get the photo's right and make sure the content is perfect. At the end of the day the post will tell the brand whether they want to work with you again or not. I am honored with all of the products i have received and still can't believe some of things i get sent. I am very thankful.

As you can see there are many good things that come from working with brands/pr firms and everyone will take different things from it. Keep your eyes peeled next Wednesday as i will be posting the "Bad Side" to PR.

Aches & Pains Be Gone | LightStim For Pain Review*

LightStim For Pain Review, Joint Pain Relief, At home muscle pain tips

LightStim For Pain Review, Joint Pain Relief, At home muscle pain tips

Aches and Pains are something I have dealt with for a long time now. If you are long term readers of EmmysBeautyCave you will know I had major reconstruction surgery on my leg last August. I am still not fully mobile and still in alot of pain everyday. Not only is the pain with my leg but I also suffer with alot of back and hip pain. I was contacted by the lovely Harlen who actually contacted me regarding a beauty review but then she also offered me to try the LightStim For Pain after she had been reading my blog and came across my post regarding my surgery. It was nice to see a PR who actually reads my blog and took the time and effort to get to know me.

LightStim For Pain isn't something I had heard of before so I was keen to see what it was all about. LightStim For Pain is used to reduce Arthritic Pain, Muscle and Joint Pain, Reduce Inflammation and Stiffness. I suffer with all of these so it sounded like the perfect product. The packaging I love! It comes in this sleek white box which has a slide out box with two compartments one includes the LightStim Product and the second includes the plug and a bag which you can keep it in. In the original box it has a flip over lid which opens up to two full pages of how the LightStim For Pain works.

So how does it work? All you have to do is plug it into the main switch and then turn it on... as simple as that! It beeps when you turn it on and then the lights turn red. You can use it for 5-30 minutes at a time. I have used this on my Knee, Back and Hips for a range of time depending how bad the pain was. You don't feel any heat and there is no discomfort. You simply place the LightStim For Pain on your skin and slowly move it round in circular motions. One thing i noticed is that it helped reduce bruising quickly (not in my knee) when i fell and bruised my arm and it slightly swelled. The LightStim helps increase blood circulation to heel area's quicker.

LightStim For Pain Review, Joint Pain Relief, At home muscle pain tips

When i first started using this I was a little skeptical if it would do anything for me. Now after 3 months of testing it out I can 100% honestly say it works. Of course it hasn't completely heeled my knee as I had reconstruction surgery but it has helped reduce swelling, reduce the amount of pain im in and also helped with my back. I have noticed a huge difference in my back pain. My mum has also tried using this as a long time ago she fell and her ankle has always been sore on and off. When it was sore she used this for 20-30 minutes and it reduced the pain massively.

For people who suffer with joint pain, muscle pain, swelling and bruising etc this is such a handy item to have. It is on the pricey side at £249 but it is something that helps massively. If you are a long term pain sufferer this would help you alot. LightStim also sell the LightStim For Acne £116 ($169) and LightStim For Wrinkles £249. The lights are different colours as they work different ways.

The LightStim For Acne is available in the US but not in the UK as of yet, both the LightStim For Pain and Wrinkles are available in the UK from Current Body.

I honestly cannot thank Harlen enough for sending me this product as it has made my recovery process that little bit easier.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Review and Swatches

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Review and Swatches, Matte Liquid Lipstick

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors, Matte Liquid Lipstick, Revlon Lips
Spring Lips are here! I always prefer Spring/Summer lips over Winter. I like that you can have more fun when it's summer. Play around with colours and try out new looks. I recently tried out a few of the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks (review here) which I found far too drying so I was a little hesitant when i saw these Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors had been released. I decided to pick a few up anyway and hope for the best.

The packaging is one of my favourites for lip products. They come in these frosted plastic tubes which still show the colour of the product. Revlon have really hit the nail on the head with the applicator! I hate drugstore brands that cheap out on the applicators. This one has two flat sides which have a slight curve to make an easy application. It is similar to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Wand.
The three shades I picked up are Seduction, Devotion and Flirtation.

Seduction | The perfect nude. You can't have enough nudes right?! Considering I am pale it doesn't show up too dark which is perfect, when looking at swatches online it suits darker skintones too.

Devotion | To fulfill that girly girl inside you. It is the perfect pretty pink ready for Spring. It isn't a pale pink nor is it an in your face pink it's kind of in the middle.

Flirtation | A nude, a pink and now a pop of colour. Flirtation is an orange toned coral. I find some coral shades more on the peachy side whereas this definitely has distinct orange tint. It is quite bright.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Review and Swatches

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Swatches Devotion Seduction Flirtation

One thing I found interesting is that they don't dry fully matte even though it is meant to be a matte lip product. At first they apply quite creamy and take around ten minutes to fully dry. Once dry they are matte but not drying. They last extremely well, even when eating the colour still stays put.

For £8.99 I don't think these are badly priced at all and they are perfect for Summer months.

Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer Review | Full Coverage Foundation

Friday, April 22, 2016

Foundations are my weakness, I must own 30+ right now! I literally don't even want to know how much money I have spent on foundations alone. A while ago I asked on Twitter what everyone's favourite Full coverage foundation was and someone recommended the Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer. I have to admit I don't know why but I assumed Stila foundations were lighter coverage. I decided to go for this foundation and ordered it from Beauty Bay. Picking foundation shades online is a mission but I usually do ok.

The Stila Stay All Day Foundation packaging really intrigued me. You get 30ml of foundation like most brands but the lid seemed quite large. You flip open the top part of the lid to reveal a small pot of concealer. The compartment concealer isn't very deep but I guess it is handy if you are travelling. The concealer is quite thick so I find it best for covering breakouts. Now the foundation doesn't have a pump it has something I haven't seen before. It has this scoop type applicator that at first look I didn't like but I was wrong. The scoop actually works really well and I can imagine it working even better when im running out of product and I can really scrape every last ounce of product.

The foundation itself is quite thick, as you can see on the scoop it isn't running or anything. Even though the formula is thick it is still extremely creamy and blends like a dream. I found it blended best when I used a buffer brush, I love to use my Nanshy Buffer Brush. It is definitely a full coverage foundation but that being said it doesn't feel cakey or heavy. The shades do run more on the yellow side which I don't mind. I do usually go for pink toned foundations but with Summer coming, once im tanned I go more yellow toned.

Aha I nearly forgot! This little tiny brush you get with it, hmm i don't know how to explain it. It is a flat brush which I find has no use whatsoever. It is far too small for foundation and it is the wrong shape for concealer. Just seems like an unnecessary thing to include. It wouldn't put me off buying this foundation again at all. When I buy foundations I do worry how well they will last on my skin. I normally have very oily skin then now and again I get small dry patches on my cheeks. This honestly lasts amazingly well! I am super suprised with this full coverage foundation.

For £27.00 I think it is definitely worth it and will be buying it again. I won't be overlooking Stila again, next on my list is the Stila Liquid Lipsticks!!

What The Boyfriend Thinks Makeup Is | Lifestyle

Wednesday, April 20, 2016

Ever wondered what your partner actually thinks makeup is for? Well i decided to ask mine after seeing Kirsty from LifeInExcess ask hers. I have been with my partner for six years so he must of picked up some tips by now right?! I asked him what each product is and wrote down his exact answer.

Primer: The thing before you put on before makeup, the thing you put on first.
What does it do: Stops your face getting oily

Foundation: The main colour thing.
What does it do: gives you a slag line if you put it on wrong, makes your face have colours.

Concealer: Hides shit, like spots.

Powder: Tap it on your face.
What does it do? Stops you getting oily.

Blusher: Give's your cheeks a bit of colour, when you do your pout face.

Highlighter: To make your cheekbones shine.

Contouring: Give's your face structure, like your cheekbones.
whilst saying this he is pointing to his cheekbones!

Bronzer: To make you look bronze.

Mascara: For your eyelashes, make them look long.

Brow Pomade: Make your brows look like lovely shit?
He is looking quite confused right about now.

Brow Gel: To gel your eyebrows? It's like hairspray.

Setting Spray: A Spray? Stop's your face sweating. It's that shit you spray everywhere.

Eye Liner: That little black thing you put round, makes your eyes stand out.

Overall im quite impressed how much he knows so it shows he does actually listen! My favourite has to be his answer for the foundation.

What's In My Makeup Bag Spring 2016

Monday, April 18, 2016
Makeup, Matte Foundation, Primer,

Lately I have been trying to use products I have had a while and forgotten about them. I have actually been loving this month's makeup. I do have some products when I first tried them I didn't like but I do try and force myself to use them for a few weeks and then make my mind up.

This is officially one of my holy grail primers! When I first saw it was released I didn't have high hopes at all. It actually keeps my oily skin at bay throughout the day. It contains Witch Hazel which works wonders for your skin.

I always apply a lip balm before I do my foundation just so it stops makeup getting on your lips and also helps moisturise them before you apply any lip products.

One of my holy grail foundations for Spring/Summer. This is a medium coverage foundation which feels very light and blends like a dream. It keeps me matte which is a must for me in the warmer weather. It looks absolutely flawless!

This is perfection in a jar! If you suffer with dark under eye circles you need this in your life. It is a pink toned corrector which is extremely creamy and hides dark circles amazingly well. You do apply concealer on top to get the finished flawless look. I did do a full review with before and after pictures to show how much of a difference this product makes.

Hmm I saw this and thought I would give it a go. For me I don't like it. I find yes it is creamy but on my pale skin it doesn't add any radiance nor does it highlight. The coverage is ok not the best. Maybe this works better on medium-dark skintones.

High End Makeup, Makeup, Matte Foundation, Spring Makeup

Holy Grail alert!! I have been using this powder for many years and I don't intend to stop anytime soon. I use this on top of foundation to create the most flawless base, it doesn't feel cakey and adds amazing coverage. I also wear this alone on the days I want a lighter base but still with amazing coverage.

One of the most gorgeous bronzers ever invented and the bonus is it smells of chocolate! I have the lightest shade which works really well on pale skin. I did recently do a post on bronzers for pale skin with swatches which you can read HERE

I got the Benefit Blush Set for Christmas which included four blushes and the Hoola Bronzer. I decided to de-pot them so I can use them in my Z Palette and get more use out of them. Dandelion has to be one of my favourite shades, it is the perfect pink for Spring.

This mascara also came in the Benefit Blush Set, I haven't used it until recently. It is now one of my favourite mascara's and I will definitely buy the full size. The wand is so unique and coats every lash! I love pairing this with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

As you know I started buying Makeup Geek a few months ago to fill my Z Palette. I only need three more shades and my Large Palette will be full! My top shades have to be Desert Sands, Grandstand (Foiled), Purely Naked, Vintage and Starry Eyed (Foiled).

My first ever Too Faced lip product. When they released the Melted Chocolate range in February I new I had to have one. I got Chocolate Milkshake which is the perfect nude! Check out my swatches and try on in my Full Review.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlight Review and Swatches | Summer 2016 Collection

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighters

Urban Decay what have you done to me! The Urban Decay Summer 2016 Collection is just stunning. When i saw what products were launched i new i need to try the Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighters, with Summer on it's way i need to get my glow on! Over the past few months i have really been getting into highlighting, i own mainly drugstore highlighters which work amazingly well.

The Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighters are stunning! The packaging is as always perfect. They come in a silver compact with the Urban Decay Logo on the front with this criss cross design underneath. There are three shades available and i got two of the three shades.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlight Aura

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlight Sin

Aura | This is such a stunning pink champagne shade, i can't describe how much i love this. It looks amazing on pale skin. I find some highlighters can look too dark on me but this is the perfect match.

Sin | This is a gold toned highlighter. It is such a gorgeous shade, it looks a little too dark on me but once i have a tan in the Summer i can imagine this looking amazing. I definitely recommend this shade for medium-darker skin tones.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter Aura and Sin Swatches

Look at that highlight! It is literally perfection in a pot! I highly recommend you pick one of these up. They retail for £19 which i think is good for Urban Decay. I got mine directly from the Urban Decay website with free postage and they arrived within a couple of days.

Beauty Haul | Beauty Bay, Boots & More

Drugstore Beauty Haul

Who doesn't love a good old haul post?! I haven't done a haul post in a long time even though I am constantly buying new products. Lately I have bought quite alot of products over the last month or so. I am now going to try and not buy hardly any products over the next month to make sure I definitely make the most out of my new products. In the last 4 weeks I have purchased five new foundations! Yikes i know that is alot to already add to my thirty plus collection. I will be updating you all soon.

So... What did I buy?

If you saw my Top 3 Bronzer's For Pale Skin post you will know I struggle to find a bronzer that doesn't look orange or too dark on me. I saw this NYX one on the Boots website, googled swatches and thought it looked perfect. I have only used it once but the shade I am loving so far!

Soap and Glory 3D Matte Lip | £3.50 | Link
I have had this product a few weeks now and I love it! I have two of the glossy versions so I was happy when they released these matte shades. I got the shade Pretty Muted which you can see a swatch of in my Current Favourite Lip Products Post

This isn't a new product for me but it is a holy grail, fuller coverage for under the eyes without being heavy or cakey. I did do a Concealer Low Down Post which includes ALOT of concealers!

I used this many years ago and couldn't remember if I liked it or not so I decided to pick it up. I love it! It is super creamy and provides amazing coverage.

Everyone has recently raved about this and I gave in and got it. I have only used this twice so far and im quite impressed. The coverage is better than I expected. I will be doing a full review soon.

Drugstore Beauty Haul

I saw this in Boots and had to try it out. When I apply this it feels quite cool on the skin which I like. I also got the La Roche-Posay Serozinc Toning Spray which I forgot to include in this post, but it is amazing!!

I have wanted to try this spray for so long. At the moment I am not too sure on it so I am going to keep testing it. I will be doing a Setting Spray comparison post soon.

Ah probably the most hyped about palette in the blog world. I actually got this with a £50 Beauty Bay voucher I won. The one bug bear is that Zoeva has put prices up on everything so this palette was £18 instead of £15! The shades are stunning.

This is a product i have used before. I used this a couple of years ago and loved it but i think they formula has been changed as it just isn't the same as it used to be. I am quite disappointed as i usually love Seventeen's products, i just wish the formula hadn't been changed.

One of my most wanted foundations is finally mine! It is no secret I am a foundation junkie and needed this in my life. I had read mixed reviews of it for oily skin even though it is oil free. I have used this twice and I am really liking it. I will be testing it out more, especially for longevity so I will review fully soon.

What Are Your Latest Beauty Buys?

Why Im A Naughty Blogger

drugstore makeup

As bloggers there are things we are known for doing or things we all want/own. I hate when people stereotype bloggers as a beauty blogger yes I love makeup and probably own more than I need but that's what I like. Some people like playing computer games or collecting items, so why should we as bloggers be stereotyped? Since blogging there are some things I have done or bought because of blogging, if i didn't blog I probably wouldn't of known about them. So what makes me a naughty blogger?

1. I don't buy hyped about items unless I know i will actually use them
2. I do own the Ikea Malm Dressing Table but I don't own the Alex Drawers (but I need to!)
3. I haven't been to a blog event, not because I don't want to but because I had major surgery. Once Im able to move again I will definitely look at attending one
4. I only started wearing lipstick about 6 months ago!
5. I SUCK at winged liner, literally suck
6. At home I live in joggers so being a fashion blogger is out of the question
7. I sometimes take my makeup off with baby wipes when im too lazy to wash it off properly
8. I used my Iphone to take my blog photo's up until a few months ago
9. I don't get the hype about Lush... Sorry not Sorry
10. I often write a post the day it is due to go up
11. I always forget to do #FF (follow Friday) on Twitter
12. I don't own anything copper
13. I wash my makeup brushes often then forget for quite a while...oops
14. I haven't been to Sephora (bring on NY in November)
15. I haven't a clue when it comes to Google Analytics
16. I didn't know what Broken Links were until a year after blogging. (See how to fix yours in my "Broken Links" Post HERE)

Brows 101 | My Go To Brow Products & Tools

eyebrow makeup products

Who knew eyebrows were so important! Everyday I will spend a bit of time on my brows until they are how i want them. I look back at pictures from when i was 13/14 and think where the hell were my brows?! Nowadays 90% of people do something to their brows whether it be threading, tinting, filling in etc. I have found my favourite brow products in every form. I do sometimes tint my own brows at home for under £10, which I will share soon.

The Natural Brow aka The Pencils

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

I was sent this product over a month ago now and I have fallen in love. It comes with a spooley, powder highlight and pencil. The pencil is shaped with a slight angle which makes it perfect for the arch area of the brow. The more defined you want your brow the more pressure you apply. I did a full review with a before and picture of my brows which you can read HERE

I recently won a blog giveaway and got a £50 Beauty Bay voucher so I finally picked up the brow wiz. I have tried the ABH Dipbrow Pomade which I liked but found it lasted far too long and the product dried up and I ended up wasting half of it. This pencil is perfect for being more into the detail, if you need extra hairs creating this is your tool. The crayon is quite thin but works effectively.

The Strong Brow aka Pomades & Powders

Freedom Brow Products

I love brow pomades. I have been loving the Freedom Brow Pomade lately, I am now on my second pot. For £5 it is perfect, if it lasts ages and a little dries out I won't mind whereas the ABH one costs £15. It is super creamy and a little goes a long way. If you want a really strong brow a pomade is the way to go.

I have used powders on and off but I love how this has two shades. It is very similar to the Sigma ones but at a much cheaper price. I was surprised how pigmented these are, again like the pomade a little goes a long way. I find i can create a really strong brow with this powder compared to many others. It can also create more of a natural brow depending on what you apply it with.

The Stay In Place Brow aka Gels

Rimmel Brow This Way Sculpting Gel

I never used to bother with brow gel until i tried this one. I find my brows look so much better when I use a gel as it just keeps any stray hairs in place all day.

This is a tinted brow gel which adds colour to the brows. I find this works best when I use pencils as it fills in any area's that look a little sparse. You can also use it on it's own if you have well shaped brows unlike me!

The Instagram Worthy Brow aka The Final Step

Freedom Pro Conceal Palette

Freedom Pro Conceal & Correct Palette | £5.00 | Link
Once I have filled in my brows with one of the products above I always like to outline them and neaten them up. Using a creamy concealer works best and I love this Freedom Palette as I can mix shades depending on how light I want the outline. Even if you just outline the underneath of your brow it adds so much shape and definition.

Brushes
My two favourite brushes have to be the Zoeva 322 Brow Line Brush is perfect for when you use a powder or pomade. When outlining my brows I use the Nanshy EB03 Flat Definer Eye Brush (pictures above with the Freedom Palette)

What are your favourite brow products?

The Brush That Changed My Mind | Oval Makeup Brush

Friday, April 08, 2016
Oval Makeup Brush Concealer

Oval Makeup Brush

A Makeup Brush that looks like a toothbrush?! Yes it is real! Oval Makeup Brushes have been on the hype lately, but for me paying £60 plus for one brush is not an option as i have cheaper ones that i already love. That being said i was intrigued by the design and to see if they actually work so i popped off over to Ebay like i always do... Yes i am that girl you will find on Ebay at 3am when i can't sleep and i buy alsorts. I found this oval brush and didn't know what to expect, i ordered it and it came within a few days. It only cost a HUGE £2.59, breaking the bank or what? So if i didn't like it i wouldn't have been upset as i didn't spend alot.

When it arrived i stared at it for a while and the first thought... It looks like a toothbrush! The length of the brush is about the same height of a toothbrush but the head is bigger. This brush is definitely not big enough to apply foundation all over the face so i decided to try it with concealer. I apply concealer on my under eyes in a triangle shape and also on my nose, chine, forehead and under my cheekbones to highlight. I used this brush in a swiping motion and oh my i jumped for joy. My under eyes looked flawless!! I found using this brush to swipe the concealer rather than a patting motion helped prevent creasing. It also blended my highlighted area's like a dream.

Small Oval Makeup Brush

Using this brush definitely helps stop concealer looking heavy under the eyes. I also love using this brush on the outer corners of my nose as i find when applying foundation with a brush i can never get into those area's fully so this little brush helps to blend out foundation in smaller area's. I now use this brush everyday! Who would of thought a brush for less than £3 could now be my little life savoir.

I can not recommend this enough, seriously get your little bum over to Ebay and buy it! Ebay do also sell different sizes of this brush so i might pick up a larger one and try it with foundation.
