Tips on Saving Money...

1. Switch up your daily makeup products once a week so it feels like you are using new products.

2. Sell unwanted clothes, shoes etc on Ebay and use the money for products as its money you never had.

3. Ask friends if they have any unwanted makeup and do a swap, its free!

6. If your in love with an expensive product look for a dupe as it may be just as good!
7. Put all marketing emails to your spam folder
8. If you go shopping just take cash as once you run out you can't spend extra on a card!
9. When you see something you like instead of buying it put that money in a pot, at the end see how much you have...you will be suprised!

Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers

Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers

Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers Swatches
Shades L-R
Bang Bang You're Dead | Hard Day | One For Playing Games

Makeup Revolution are definitely one of my favourite brands when it comes down to blushers. I have the blush palette in Hot Spice which i adore. I recently picked up some of the Baked Blushers and i am obsessed with them. They all look stunning!

The finish of each shade looks gorgeous. I find i only need to apply a small amount as each blush does have shimmer so if i apply too much it can look a little disco ball! I find i tend to use these on the days i don't wear alot of makeup and want to brighten up my face. I will definitely be ordering more of these! As you can see from my swatches each shade is very pigmented and such amazing quality. The Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers retail for £ which is a huge bargain!

I even find the £1.00 blushers from Makeup Revolution to be amazing and such good quality. If i could only use one brand for blush it would be MR by far.

Have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution Baked Blushers?

Revealed 3 Eye Shadow Palette review

Revealed 3 Eye Shadow Palette swatches

Revealed 3 Eye Shadow Palette swatches

Purple Smokey Eye

Recently i was searching online for a new eye shadow palette and came across the Revealed Palettes. They have 3 to choose from and it was so hard to decide. I finally decided i would go for the Revealed 3 Palette. I ordered mine on Ebay as i had a £5 discount code so i got the palette for £15!

The shades include so many colours to create so many looks from a bronzey smokey eye to a dark purple smokey eye. You can create natural or glam looks with this palette. It also includes matte, satin and shimmer shades which is perfect for me. As you can see from my swatches the palette is super pigmented. I was honestly amazed at how pigmented these shades were.

The texture of each shadow is perfect. Even though they are powder shadows they have a slight creamy texture to them. The Revealed 3 Palette is definitely worth a buy and i have to admit i prefer these over the Naked palettes!

I created a dark purple smokey eye using mainly the bottom row of shades. I had so many compliments when i wore this eye look. Definitely check all three palettes out on google images before ordering them from Ebay.

Sunday Share | Hectic Week

Some of you may know if you follow me on twitter, i got an appointment for my knee operation to be on the 21st October. On Tuesday (18th August) i got a phone call saying they had a cancellation for the next day! Of course i took the appointment which meant alot of rushing around arranging things as the hospital is an hour drive from where i live as its a specialist hospital.  If you want to know why i need the surgery as i wont go into too much detail here you can read all about it in my "My Secret & Why I Started Blogging" Post. It is quite a major knee operation as they are having to reconstruct parts of me knee.

The surgery ended up being a bigger job than expected and i was in theatre for 4 hours. We were also told i would have one 3 inch cut somewhere on my knee but i have two x 5 inch cuts and some smaller ones. I am not aloud to move at all for the next 2 weeks and i have a metal brace keeping my leg straight. After the 2 weeks i have to have the stitches out, a larger brace fitted for another 2 months and then i will wear another large brace for an extra 3 months. Recovery time is going to be around 6 months!

Yes i am happy the operation has finally been done after a long time fighting for it but of course i am in alot of pain and taking it day by day. I have tried to type of some blog posts in advance which i did mainly Tuesday evening the night before my operation. I won't be on social media as much so please be patient as i am really struggling with everything at the moment but i just wanted to update you all.

Since i started blogging one thing i had always wanted to do is a box swap. When is saw Jordan from Keep Dreaming wanted to do one i jumped at the chance and emailed her straight away as i love her blog and read it all the time. We soon swapped details and what colours we liked and our skin type. I was so excited as she is just as obsessed as Disney and Big Bang Theory as i am. We set a budget and agreed to send the box around a month later. My box arrived so quickly and i soon tore them open. Half way through opening them i realised i hadn't taken pictures i was just far too excited! It felt like Christmas had come early! Every item was wrapped in Disney Princess Paper which i fell in love with. Every item had a little note as to why she had picked that item.

I am overwhelmed with everything she picked and honestly cannot wait to try everything! One thing that made me giggle is she put in a few face masks which i also did for her. Another thing that i was excited about was the fact there were some brands i have never tried. The Essence lipsticks have been on my wishlist for the longest time and now i have two!

One thing i found really sweet is that Jordan watched my YouTube videos and soon realised how much i loved statement necklaces and chose this gorgeous pink & gold one! Also the Karora set i have never heard of this brand so i am excited to try the tans & cc cream! I am over the moon with everything i got and i hope she loves hers too!

I still cannot believe everything i got and cannot thank Jordan enough! I will be swatching everything and doing another post all about the makeup items i got so keep your eyes peeled!

Feel Unique Sale

Urban Decay De slick setting spray

Sigma E40 Eyeshadow brush

Eylure Pro Brow Dyebrow Kit
Feel Unique is one of my main shopping sites as it sells everything i want. When i saw they had a upto 50% sale on i thought i need to have a look. I could of spent alot more than what i did as they have so many amazing bargains including some amazing brands. So lets get down to the nitty gritty of what i picked up!

This spray is my holy grail! I decided to get the 30ml version so i can keep it in my handbag as the larger size is a little too heavy for my bag. This spray is perfect for you oily girls out there.

I have been wanting to try an Urban Decay mascara for so long! When i saw they had quite a few in the sale i decided to go with this one. It has a thicker wand and states to give bigger, blacker & badder lashes! I can see myself falling in love with this mascara.

I used this sponge non stop last year then i lost it! I don't know how or where but it just disappeared so i thought it was time i got a new one. It was in the sale so how could i resist? This sponge is perfect as it has the flat side for foundation and the pointy side for those hard to reach areas.

This brush has been in my dreams after watching most Youtuber's using it. Feel Unique now sell some of the Sigma brushes and i was amazed that this brush was only £10.48!!! It is my new favourite brush by far!

I have seen these kits around alot lately and dying to try them myself. As my hair is quite dark brown i picked up a brown and a black to mix them together. It says you get 12 uses out of each kit which is amazing for the price! I just want to tint my brows as they are quite light and they will look so much better when i have no makeup on.

Go and check out the Feel Unique sale and grab yourself some amazing bargains! Click each product title above to see them on the Feel Unique Website

Rolo Cupcakes Recipe

Another Sunday Share is here. If you read my blog you will know i have decided to include "Sunday Share" posts which will include anything from what i have been doing, a general update to baking. This week has been a quiet week so i have decided to share with you my ROLO Cupcakes Recipe which i made this week! These are some of the yummiest cupcakes i have tried!

What You Will Need...
6oz (175g) Self Raising Flour
6oz (175g) Caster Sugar
6oz (175g)  Butter
3 Eggs
1 & half Tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp Milk
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

Chocolate Frosting...
(6oz) 175g  Butter
(7oz) 220g Icing Sugar
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

Extras...
Rolo's
Caramel (I used Carnation Caramel)
Salted Caramel Sauce

Now Time To Bake...
  • Mix all cake ingridients apart from Cocoa Powder together until smooth.
  • Add the Cocoa Powder and slowly fold into the mixture until mixture is fully chocolate coated.
  • For best cake results spoon mixture in using an ice cream scooper. I usually use muffin cases but you can use normal cupcake cases.
  • Mixture can fill between 12-18 cupcakes depending on case size.
  • Fill cases 3 quarters full.
  • Cook at Gas Mark 4 for 30 minutes. I turn the tray around half way through to ensure cakes are even coloured all over.
  • Whilst cakes are cooking mix the Icing Sugar and Butter together until smooth. Then add the Cocoa Powder and mix well.
  • Using a thin Potato Peeler or cutter cut out a small hole in the middle of the cupcakes, keep the cake you have just cut out.
  • Fill hole with caramel. Place part of the cut out cake back into the hole to cover over the caramel.

Drugstore Beauty Haul

Friday, August 14, 2015

I think its fair enough to say it has been quite a while since i posted a haul kind of post. I recently went to Boots and spent a fortune as always! How anyone manages to go in there and just pick up one or two items is beyond me. I also picked up a couple of other bits so it is quite a large haul. I also picked up a few skincare products recently which i haven't mentioned as i am posting my YT Video all about my full skincare routine. The video will be up later today!

So what did i pick up...

I went a little mad at the Bourjois stand. I picked up the concealer, foundation, powder & a lipstick. I have been wanting to try the Healthy Mix range for a while so why not pick up all three products! The Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer is supposed to be full coverage AND quite thick so we will see. I also picked the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation which smells amazing! Im not sure if i will love or hate this foundation. I then picked up the Bourjois powder which says it has a mattifying finish. As i have oily skin i thought the powder would work well as the foundation has more of a dewy finish. The lipstick shade is stunning. It is from the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick Collection and it is the shade 04 which as you can see from my swatch it is just gorgeous!

I then moved onto the No7 Counter and picked up the No7 Beautifully Matte Makeup Base/Primer which i have been wanting to try forever! I have the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation which i reviewed HERE. This primer i am excited to try and will review it soon! I also picked up the new release No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara, the woman at the counter had this on one eye and nothing on the other so you could really see the difference and it did look incredible so i had to have it!

The last thing i Boots i picked up was the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer which is more of a highlighter i would say. I has a pen like applicator and i am going to be comparing this to my MAC Prep + Prime. After reading so many reviews of the Makeup Revolution Baked Bronzer's it was about time i picked one up and i have to say im very impressed! Just look at the swatch! Lastly i got another primer, yes another one! It is the Tea Tree Pore Minimizer Primer from The Body Shop and i have to say it works wonders for oily skin!

I will be doing a review of the Bourjois Trio over the next few weeks!

You Beauty Discovery Subscription Box August

You Beauty Discovery Box

You Beauty Discovery Box 2015

If you have been reading my blog then you will know a few months ago i signed up to the You Beauty Discovery Box and i haven't been disappointed. The box retails for a shocking £6.95 including postage! Each month you have a choice of ten products and pick two from the list and you will also receive some extra products.

Lets start with the extra gifts i received this month. The extra gift i was so happy to receive was the Sienna X Gradual Glowing Self Tan, i have been wanting to try a tan from this brand for so long and i am super excited to try it. I also received a sample book of the City of Bones "The Shadow Hunter Chronicles" it's all about vampires and mortal things which isn't usually my thing but im quite intrigued to read it.

When i saw which products were on offer to choose from i was really impressed and new straight away which ones i wanted. First up i chose the Inika Mineral Bronzer. Inika is a brand i have seen around alot lately and knew i had to try it. I have never tried a mineral bronzer before but this shade is really natural without looking heavy. The second product i chose was the Stila Smudge Stick Water Proof Eyeliner in the shade "Amethyst" which is an extremely black shade. It works really well for under the bottom lash line to create the perfect smokey eye.

Overall i am really happy with this months box! You can still order this month's box now by going to the You Beauty Discovery Box Website. The £6.95 payment is taken the 1st of every month and you can pick your items on the 1st of every month too.

Mesauda Milano Desert Sand Bronzer Review*

Mesauda Milano Desert Sand Bronzer Review

Mesauda Milano Desert Sand Bronzer Review

Mesauda Milano Desert Sand Bronzer swatch

When i saw the Mesauda Makeup Range on the Mesauda Website i was excited to try some of the products. So when i was asked if i would like to review the Mesauda Desert Sand Bronzer i jumped at the chance. The bronzer is just stunning to look at, it reminds me of the MAC Skinfinish Powders.

The bronzer has a slight shimmer to it but not too much so it looks gorgeous once applied to the skin. I contour as normal with a matte bronzer and then sweep this over the top to give it more of a warm feeling. I sometimes find most bronzers can look a little orange on me but this one really doesn't! The Mesauda Desert Sand Bronzer comes in four shades and i have the shade "Polvere D'Arabia" which suits my skin tone perfectly. Whether you are lighter or darker skinned you will find a shade for you.

This is now my new favourite bronzer to use day to day. I cannot wait to try more products from this brand as i can honestly say the quality is amazing. This product is also Cruelty Free

Baker Days Cake Review

Personalised Cakes UK

When this beauty of a cake popped through my letterbox i was beyond excited. I opened it up and was amazed at how pretty it was. As you can see this cake has my blogs logo on it and has a gorgeous pink patterned design of makeup and other girly things. It is completely perfect for me. This amazing work belongs to Baker Days which is a online website which specializes in personalised cakes including a whopping 35 Categories to choose from!

The cake i received is known as the Letter Box Cake which retails for £14.99 which is an amazing price considering you get a personalised cake of your choice or something from the website, a small card, some balloons and the cake comes in such a cute tin. The Baker Days Letter Box Cake is the perfect gift.

You can choose different types of fillings but i went for the original favourite vanilla. The cake is then covered in Royal Icing with a design of your choice. The cake itself is super yummy with a soft moist sponge. I have to admit i was very suprised with how yummy this cake was! After looking through the Baker Days website i will definitely be ordering some Personalised Baker Days Cupcakes as a gift for birthdays and more. Bargain Budget Makeup Brushes Worth A Buy

Bargain Budget Makeup Brushes

Bargain Budget Makeup Brushes

BareMinerals Perfecting Face Brush Dupe

NARS COSMETICS APPLICATORS KABUKI ARTISAN BRUSH DUPE

MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush Dupe

I don't tend to buy cheap makeup brushes as i don't think the quality is as good as a higher end brush. That being said i have purchased quite a few brushes from ebay and found some amazing Budget Makeup Brushes. Yes that being said some of them were bad quality so i never used them again. I have found four brushes which deserve a mention as they are amazing and incredible dupes for some higher end makeup brushes.

The first brush to mention is a dupe for the Bare Minerals Perfecting Face Brush. As you can see in my photos the brush is unlike any other as it has a small hole in the middle which is where you put your foundation. One thing that impressed me about this brush is that it applied foundation perfectly and the brush doesn't soak up product like most brushes so you are left with a clean looking brush even after application. The brush only costs £0.99 which is a bargain!

Next up is a brush which looks very much similar to the Nars Kabuki Artisan Brush. At first i wasn't sure if i liked this brush but now i love it. I use it mainly for blusher and it works perfectly. You can order this one in black or cream. The best bit is it only costs £1.02

I am a MAC addict, i own alot of the makeup but none of the brushes. I used my friends MAC 187 Duo Fibre brush and loved it. I had already ordered this one from Ebay and i have to say it is actually amazing quality! I use this for powder or bronzer and it blends powder products really well and again it only costs a whopping £1.65

Lastly is my favourite of the bunch. It is a dupe of the Nars Kabuki Ita Contour brush. If you love to contour you need this baby in your life! It contours perfectly looking flawless, i couldn't imagine contouring with anything else! And the cost is... £1.84 yes that's right its cheap.
